Andrea van de Loo, born in WWII Netherlands in 1942, studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam. She moved to India in 1971, meeting The Mother at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and living in Auroville until 1978, where her two daughters were born. Since 1979, she has resided in Santa Cruz, CA, running a healing practice until retiring in 2007. Now, she dedicates herself to family, friends, and sharing her memoir, hoping to contribute to a more peaceful world.

She studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam before hitchhiking to India in 1971, where she met the Mother at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry.
